Am planning to relocate out of state

Hi, I am currently studying for my cdl in the state of Ohio. I am planning to relocate to another state in several months. Will my cdl from Ohio be honored there or will I have to retest and get a cdl for whatever state I reside in?

Your CDL will be honored in any state. Depending on the laws of that state you will likely have a certain amount of time to get a licensed issued from that state.

Contact the Department of Motor Vehicles of the state that you are moving to and ask about transferring your CDL.

There will be a fee of course.
