Anyone have any experience or tips for unloading DDG or dried distillers grain?

I have been hauling DDG off and on. If you're not familiar, it can be fairly difficult to unload based on when / how it's made and temperature / humidity.

I have noticed several drivers using a large sledge type mallet. It is different than an oversized mallet. A driver once said it was a device used to beat almonds out of trees in California.

Anyone possibly know what it is actually called? Or any advice on getting DDG to unload more easily?
