Anyone know about Stevens Transport? Driver Training?

I currently have zero experience driving a semi. I have looked at MTC, Driver Solutions and stumbled upon Stevens Transport.

They say they will pay everything up front as long as I sign a year contract. Are they a reputable company?

I thought of swift or covenant, but I like the idea of driving refrigerated trucks. Any help or advice would be great.

I wanted to start orientation for truck drivinng training at stevens transport i wanted to knw do u have to pay for your haie test and physical i have heard that. and how are the trainers there

i did all of the paper work and i am going to school at stevens transport in feb 6 2012 and they are a very good school and if you wont to know more about it someone from stevens will talk to you and tell you all about it they will pay for your hotel and your bus ticket and give you 70 dollars a week to eat on and pay for your school to so if this helps someone good but for the ones out there talking about stevens stop if you did not make it dont talk about them like that do not beleave the things you see on here about there thats the people that could not make it as a truck driver they are a very very very good school

To Whom it may concern: I need to find out if I am going to be accepted in Stevens Truck Driving School now? I put my application and I talked with someone from the recruiting office yesterday and she stated that she would call me back at 2 pm and I have yet to hear from her yet! My husband Lonnie I think is already accepted and She said that she was going to try to keep us togather. I am really interested in this and would like to know what to do to get ready for school. Havent heard any real bad things about stevens transport. BUT i can sure tell you where not to go central refrigerated. Piece of crap place. First of all they get you ther do all the drug testing background check driving record, your all good to go, looking good until you go in the doomed room with the little man that is the BIG decision maker man and he is so important, he talks to you for a minute , doesnt like you and you are out of there just like that! you will be escorted out of there with all the other rejects. so, the moral of the story is you kind of have to be perfect, Now, if you are a man and wife team ther is NO sex in the truck you have to go to a motel, there is no vulgar talk, and no dirty jokes ever. you have to shower at least once a day so you heethans dont even try to apply too stinky .Hell, they even tell you when to eat, oh ya and for you guys that like pornographic materials NOT allowed in the damn truck. If you like that kind of thing none of their damn business. They have more rules then drivers so beware, Check this out if you dont beleive me, see for yourself.

I have not heard anything bad about stevens transport, a few on covenant. The one that you want to stay away from is central refrigerated in salt lake city. Those slicky mormon dudes have more rules then they have drivers, if you are a husband and wife team you are not allowed to have sex in THEIR truck, there will be no vulgar language and no dirty jokes.There will be no touching your trainer, so, if you are a homo dont plan on coming on to your trainer, not permitted. If you are a person that doesnt particulary care about your hygiene that also is a no no they want you to bathe, shower, spit on yourself at least once a day. They even tell you when to stop and eat, thats the best part, i always need to be told when to do all the things above. so, people, if you want a shit job go to CENTRAL REFRIGERATED. Oh and did i forget to tell you that if they dont like you after you either got on the damn bus or drove there they will ESCORT you out of the building like a felon and you will have no place to go since in middle of nothing. So to the slick dick interviewer we all know your a hidden faggot so go hide behind your really BIG desk and be REALLY important. truckers beware!!!!!!
