Being a Trucker's Wife is Not so bad

I met my future husband and he was a truck driver. I had no idea what that was. So I dropped out of college, married him and got my CDL, all because I was trying to figure out what my husband did.

We teamed for 6 years when I climbed out of the truck, finished college and eventually got my Masters Degree.

I now work full time and my husband is currently an owner operator. He told me when we got married he will not change his life and I have to like being on my own.

Getting my own CDL helped me understand what he does! I stay home, work full time manage his business stuff, the house and yard, the budget etc.

Ive learned how to fix things! I also raise the kids and they are independent too.

When my husband comes home every three weeks, he helps me with chores and cooks me dinner and fixes the things I don't know how too. He is a great mechanic and knows how to fix just about everything.

It's tough, but we talk every night and he always lets me know he loves and appreciates me. When I need to make an important decision, we talk about it together on the phone and make decisions together. I am a lucky woman indeed!!!!

Being a truckers wife has worked for me! I think getting my own CDL was the key to our good relationship.

Anyone who has a trucker in their life can have a great relationship. Honesty is the key though. You have to trust him as much as he trusts you.

Not every guy is cut out to be a trucker & not every woman is cut out to be a trucker's wife!
