Can I get a CDL with a paraphernalia charge from a year ago

I got a paraphernalia charge about a year ago. & not im trying to get my cdl. I see that in evey school they do background checks. Does that affect my chances of getting my license ?

You can get a cdl but that don't mean you can get a job any where
