Can someone please help me with the DVIR Submission process?

Who could tell me what’s the detailed path, step by step, that a DVIR follows from the moment I create it, to the moment an issue in the truck is fixed and the report is shared back to the me?

I would also like to know the difference between people doing it manually versus others doing it electronically. I'm curious to see how different companies do this.
