I have a DUI on my criminal record that he is a year old a speeding tickets on my driving record wondering if I can become a CDL driver

Is DUI is your problem most companies won't hire you for 5 years until after your last DUI.

I would find a job offer first before going to get your cdl.

Tell them about the DUI...
You lie they offer the job, then you get cdl because you thought you had a job... and they find that DUI you failed to mention(and they will find it) they will show you the door before you even step in one of their trucks.

First rule do not lie to them, it's all a test they will run a massive background check on you... they just want to know if your trustworthy.

Excessive Speeding or Not Will Matter

That shouldn't hold you back completely. If it is more than 15 over, it will hurt but there will be some trucking companies to hire you.
