...they do show up. Everything does.

If they don't read the vehicle code, all you have to do is tell them the circumstances and that it was in your personal vehicle

Depending on the fault and the situation, it may or may not affect the hiring process

Nobody likes accidents, and these days, trucking companies are governed by their insurance companies.

It will be the Insurance Company that does the investigation (if they think you are worth the effort)

and it is the IC that will ultimately let the Trucking COmpany know if you are approved for hire.
