Drivers, There is a second chance trucking company.

I graduated from truck driving school on Jun 24, 2008. I had 4 felonies and 4 misdemeanors. I got all of them 2 years earlier. I had a job driving coast to coast on jul 1 2008. I asked the secretary at the trucking school for some help finding a job after telling her the trouble I had been in.


Well she gave me a number for a company called Carolina Cargo. They are out of Rock Hill, SC. I called the number and the owner of the company answered the phone and I told him my story. This is what he said "We are all about second chances, as long as you don't have a speeding ticket for running 20 mph over the posted speed limit we will hire you. I don't care if you have a murder charge, or a simple bad check on your record. We don't check criminal records." So I faxed them my mvr and about 2 hours later I received a phone call and it was the hr lady for Carolina cargo.

She said "How l9ong would it take for you to get to The terminal in Rock Hill, SC?" I said about 3 hours. She said well pack your things and come right now. Pack enough for three weeks. We'll put you in a hotel tonight and you will head out west with a trainer tomorrow morning.

I was so happy that somebody still believed in me. My first load was from Kings Mtn, NC, to Las Vegas, NV. I don't work there anymore I am driving local now that I have my experience, but I do take a regional run every once in while.

Hi, my name is Paul. I'm 52 and I drove otr on and off from 2015 to 2020. I have about 3.5 years total experience.

ACCIDENT and TICKET....On the night of Oct.31, 2020 I fell asleep at the wheel and struck a bridge. Conditions were dry and ideal for driving. The truck was totalled and had to be towed. No injuries. I received a ticket for improper lane change.I was terminated for safety.

November2020 I moved to Illinois from Colorado without attempting to transfer my CDL. I applied for and received a basic driver's license.

January 2024 I went back to trucking school and got my CDL back ( I had forgotten how much fun it is trying to parallel park a truck and trailer for an instructor lol.)

It's been almost 4 years since the accident. Perfect dring record now for almost 4 years, albeit in a car. My DAC doesn't show the accident, probably because there weren't any injuries. My Clearinghouse is and has always been clean. I have a ton of mountain driving experience in winter weather as I was living in Denver at the time. I've driven for two companies, one will give a good reference while the other will not.

No company will hire me.Even Western Express said no. I believe I'll get a chance eventually, maybe have to wait another year. I could make excuses and tell you reasons behind me dosing off at the wheel but I won't. I'll stay silent about that and keep believing.

I've had a safety termination at my first , and only trucking job right out of school. No tickets but had a preventable accident that didn't do any damage to the truck. I was thrown to the wolves. My trainer cared more about the extra money he was making then actually helping me learn the ins, and outs of the industry.

I'm having issues finding a place that will take me. I'm a recent grad as of December 2nd 2021, and I'm having an issue due to 2 tickets.
One back in late October for 17 over and on in June for 20+ over.
My 17 over was because my fiancee and I both had to go to the bathroom really bad and I didn't pay attention to my speed. My 20+ over was because I sped up due to a semi either trying to merge into my lane without seeing me or just swerving without noticing, I couldn't brake due to someone behind me so I sped up and got past before I was pushed off the road. Cop did not like my excuse, as he didn't see me next to the semi when he clocked me. Other than that I'm a very safe driver, no accidents ever. Hello my name is Brandon and I’m currently enrolled in a school out of San Antonio tx I’ve been having some trouble lately looking for potential employers due to my record I have a couple felonies that are 3 years old or more and like 7 misdemeanors that are more than 5 years old. Now in august of this year I was caught going 95 in a 65 and paid off the ticket online which I realize now I shouldn’t have done because now it’s worse than the record of felonies I have. We hire SAP/ DUI/ etc.
No slip seating or teams unless you have someone you want to work with. Texas drivers get home weekly, we hire anywhere in the country and will fly you to Dallas to get your truck.
OTR drivers stay out 2 weeks and get 1 week off. If that’s what you want. You can work less or stay home less it’s up to you!!
Driver pay starts at .50CPM all miles paid for less than two years experience. More than 2 years we pay .60CPM. Upto .70CPM for the right candidate!
Drivers can make 1-2000 every week.

.60CPM and 2017+ Freighters 90% Automatic. We are Texas based but run all over. If you live in and around Texas you can get home weekly for 2 days or stay out two weeks and take 4+ days off. We don’t run you into the ground. Unless you wanna work like that!
I make 1200-2000 a week every week. I work two weeks on one week off as a driver. Half my freight is a dedicated account then I get a load back to Texas.
Also we really will listen and do what we can to keep you happy as a driver. Everyone needs a balance. Stay out and make money or spend more time at home if that’s more important.

Go to Craigslist jobs click transport category and you will find companies that hire sap graduates they might not say it in their ads but just call and you will find companies still giving opportunities to drive..You might have to go to different states and cities on Craigslist to find the right company but don’t stop until you strike gold..You’re all welcome

California w/c doctor released me for work but cause i have not driven for almost 2 years and have same time as in umemployment! i can't get a trucking job. I'm fresh out of school with my class A no DUI nor tickets. But one thing on my MVR that's keeping me from getting a job is killing me. I've tried several companies and have been turned down do to this matter. Western Express, C.R. England, CFI, Werner, CRST,Transam, PAM, KNIGHTS, U.S.Xpress etc. And the list goes on. No second chance frome none of them. I feel like I have wasted my time on getting my CDLS. Some companies state they'll never hire me,and some say come back in 8 to 10 yrs

Several companies will hire you out of IL. U-Rol,Skirdovida, and Angelovik, Trucking they are all eastern European owned, but will pay. You would have to get your own tax ID because you would work as an independent contractor. There all good to work for,but Skirdovida is the best. Just make sure you drive safely,as an independent you are responsible for damage caused by anything other than normal wear and tear and mechanical.

I was 63 and have a wife and 11 year old daughter and on SSI Ca. disability and welfare,living on $ 1,250 a month by the time I paid my bills I was left with $100.00 for clothes for my wife and daughter, and house hold goods and gas money. So I decided to go back to work, and So I decided to go to a driving school.it took 5 month to graduate because of to many students and not enough instructors and three trucks. Started off with JBS carriers out of greedly Colo, with team instructor Anthony Green. Left the company because the instructor had road rage. Stating we were being followed and tail gated and stopped the truck during commute in Albuquerque NM,and Arizona while traffic was moving at 65 to 70 miles per hour.requested new instructor and was denide and was sent home on gray hound bus.started driving for Indian company because of lack of 3 mo. exp. driving 11 mid Western States from Stockton CA to Ohio Michigan getting paid with a 1099 being a company driver. I have 7 month experience and not I'm not an owner operator. Started driving in CA to have more home time with family. I got a ticket for driving over 11 hours because company didn't teach me how to work E-log. I also got three moving violations for passing slow trucks. Nothing over 5+ over the speed limit and one for making mistake on paper log. Last company I drove for said I would be paid with W-2 after 4 mo. I fell from the can while getting in breaking my callorbone and fracturing left hand ring finger.thats when I found out I was still getting paid with 1099 and had no benefits or help with workman's comp to support my family while I heal.it should be against the law for this companies to hire a company driver and pay him with 1099 with out him knowing. 4/10/19-8/15/19 need help in finding local work in the central area of CA. A family oriented company that truly appreciate and cares about their driver's. Have no accidents no DUI's or felonies. Always got my load there safe and intact. Please Help Me. Failed DOT drug tests when you sign up for truck driving school or pre employment, only show up on your DAC report as a failure to comply with company policy. The only time your DAC report will show a positive/failed drug test is when you fail a random or post accident test.

Western Express is a second chance company. I went through orientation with them. 40 years and almost 5 million miles experience and they wanted me to go out with a trainer for 240 hours. I was in the sleeper of a truck when my team partner turned it over years ago. So I couldn't do the trainer deal with them. They bought me a bus ticket home. So I'm back to looking for another job. They aren't the best company out there and the motel they put you in sucks. But it's a option.

I was raised around trucks my whole life and I love the trucking industry. I had my CDL in 2003 and 2004 . I drove locally for a dirt company and while doing so I was making a left turn and behind a highway sign was an oncoming vehicle and he turned me. I was eventually charged with careless driving causing death and the company hired an attorney to cover their ass and I was illegally let go a week later. Upon going to trial the person I hit was an employee of the sheriff department and he died. His wife came to trial in her wheelchair and having polio. The sheriff was under the influence of crack cocaine and marijuana but the judge said he did not want to listen to any of that even though it was in the autopsy report. And the intersection has had 8 prior fatalities and one being a cops wife and they all wanted to testify for me but the judge didn't allow that either so I took a guilty plea and did a year in county jail for it. I have a clean driving record now and want to go back and get my CDL and drive over the road. This was in 2004 . The state patrol didn't want to charge but because he was a sheriff they said they had to. So is there any hope for me.

I sold a truck and trusted the guy that bought it to send in my plate. I allowed him to ise it for tjree days to get home.I tjen cancelled insurance. About two montjs later I got a notice tjat my lic. was suspended for allowing my truck to be driven without insurance and registration. As a result I lost my own business. I recently got my lic. back and cant find anyone who will wven look at tje circumstances or consider hiring me. I started with Knight Refresher course, and went driving with a Trainer. I was doing great as he was telling people back at the headquarter " a student to keep". Drove Through Lousiana , Texas, New Mexico, California just fine. On the way back from Oregon to California the Trainer Drover From 2am till 11 am as he always does and handed the keys to drive. He woke up an hour later just to tell me " Look at you handling that truck like pro" and went back to sleep. Half and hour later going down a hill I lost control as the truck speed increased and jake brake did not work, the truck was making steep turn so I was afraid to hit the service brake in fear that we may roll over. The truck kept on going straight and hit the montain concret blocks. The truck got damaged , thank god nobody got hurt.
I got fired.

The accident was avoidable if the trainer was doing his job sitting right next to me, or atleast responding to my screams " I can't controle it, I can't control it".

I have been applying left and right and the only luck I had is with a company paying 31c/mile, after I did the math I would be better off working for McDonalds.

Hey all, my name's Raul and my story is like this. I was driving for Werner enterprise from 08/14-07/15. Immediately I worked at 1845 as an oil field driver. Worked there for like 2 months. While in oil field I had one stop where I got a citation for failing to yeild and wrong insurance card. Since then my CDL is not exprired but i got a letter from do that it had been downgraded for not keeping medical card updated.

Any good company's that will take no tickets in past 2-3 years and fender bender.

I had a prescription for medical marijuana issued by a physician. Was going to go back into trucking so I stopped using. I did not abuse it or just use it to get high. I cleaned myself up to where I didn't think it would show up (2 months ) was applying for a job and threw a test that was 27ng/dl. cut off was 25ng/dl. showing that I was positive for THC. It was reported to DOT that I was positive with THC. Was informed that it will stay on record for 10 years. Have applied to seve4ral companies and been turned down because of a positive drug test. No companies want to hear that I am a disabled vet and used it to control an action tremor. Now not only am I disabled vet but having a hard time finding a job to support myself. I've had 1 ticket in the last 30 years and no accidents ever. What is a professional driver to do.

I did the SAP program and was asked if I had dental work and if the MRO had asked. I had dental work 2 weeks prior to the test and the MRO never asked me about dental work. SAP guy told me to fight it but in the meantime I need a job driving local in CT or Western MA

Hi I'm asian I have been with companies cr England,swift jb,hunt,Hogan transportation, navajo,western express,Hendrickson truck lines,and now with the best company tribe transportation. I like to stay out 2 and a half month out on the road after home time, if i stay more then that I tend to not think straight and cause accident if I don't get out and stretch my leg.

Tribe transportation treat me like I'm apart of the family they will not let you go hungry. Our trucks are govern at 72 mph we run all over mainly the east. We have kenworth t680 and front facing camera on newer model trucks 2018. Home time is 1 week out 1 day off 4 week out 4 days off so on.

We require around or close to 2 years experience to join. Please no major accident like jacknife,hit and run,messing up docks, i.e you get the picture only minor accident. Must be able to drive at night. Some deliver require to drive at night.

For Home time they required 2 week in advance to route you home.if you read bad reviews on tribe it's the people that fired themself.

Break down is quick. Lumped fee is quick this is a refer company. All t680s small terminal. Out of gainville ga. My first run was from tn to ma ma to Florida. Dm treat you like your somebody and the vice president picks up a lot if you have any problem with your dm but you won't. I’m hoping you can help me or at least maybe guide me in the right direction... I hope you have a minute because I want to give you the full story.

My (now ex) fiancé and I went over the road to get my 6months experience. We decided to go local after that, as we already had a company that wanted to hire me (and rehire him). After being local for the winter, we both decided that we made ALOT more money being over the road and home every weekend to every other weekend. So we decided to put in our notice and take a month and a half off before hitting the road again.

The day after our last day working we had a little celebratory smoke. Literally first time in 2 years... one and done kind of thing...

Two weeks after that, he broke off the relationship.
Three weeks after THAT I reapplied to the local company that has a terminal in my hometown (across state).

Long story short, I failed my first drug test EVER with "minimal to trace amounts of THC"... never failed any of my other ones (because it’s not something I normally do). If I would’ve known, I wouldn’t have taken the test in the first place...

I have already contacted the company to see about some sort of SAP, but have not had any response.

Is there any hope for me?

I really would like to get back in a truck, and soon. I just don’t know about long term OTR, because I get my kids on the weekends and sometimes just every other weekend. I would be willing to go out for a week to two at a time. I am located in South East Michigan (north of Detroit area)

Any help, suggestions, or leads will definitely be appreciated.

I'm fresh outta school, took a job with a company first of the year and the night before I got a call from the mother of a good friend. "Help him or he's gonna die"! I went to get him and take him to drug rehab. I was in the location I found him for well over an hour convincing him to leave with me, the air was thick with the smoke. I got him out and went to my orientation the next day with the determination to finally provide a great life for my family.... I failed the drug test and now I haven't even been able to find work. HELP!!!

I am currently in CDL school. I expect to gradute within a month. I have 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, bout one every 12 months. 2 10 mph and 1 speeds too fast. Also on unofficial/unmonitored probation with no travel restrictions for a 1 year old domestic battery misdemeanor. Currently am on a suspended sentence for that charge.
I have been unable to get an pre-hire letter or offer of employment based on my circumstances from major carriers and am wondering where I can use my CDL and get much needed experience. Any suggestions are appreciated. My circumstances will settle in about 10 months. But I would hate to sit on an unused CDL for that long.

I need help im trying to fine a place that would hire me i miss trucking and i need a second chand i got my cdl with cr england driving school aaa driving school in Harrisburg pa get on a truck with a trainer then i when on to phase 1 after i let my first traind i was told i would get extensive train my next phase and trainer well my trainer only stayed on the truck with me for a week or so he said that he need hometime and left me with the truck my dm said to drive the truck pick load up and they with find me another trainer co driver so long story short i ended up hitting a pole making a right turn one of my drive tires popped and cause my trailer to shift on on side i then trooper came and asked what happen he gave mea 128.00 ticked i paid it i didnt kno the ticked the ticked carried 2 points careless july 13 2016 driving so england got drive tire fixed and i was on my way after that they had me take a class at there terminal safety class i continue to drive for then then 7 or eight months later some guy side swipes my truck in ca in rush hour traffic no tickets just an incident report still i continued to stay with england then i finally left england 2017 March drove for western express that was something i got pulled over for a something and the cop told me i had a warrent and it was active i called dispatcher and he told me someone will pick up the truck they live in area i had warrant from a female that lied to police and said i broke into me and her place we had to gether and that i harassed her and i hit here then there was a incident were her teenage so call 911 using my work phone while i was out with some friend and she got upset and i dont kno what her son was on told 911 a whole bunch of bus like a prank call pretending to be me i came back to the house the next day a cops were asking me were i was and who phone was it my phone i told them it was my number and the put me in the back of car and told we what happen and i was they would keep in touch with me and i would get a notice in the mail with court date i left the house police still had my number tge lady i was with gave the police my wrong age and come to find out there was alot of wrong in there files about me the had i dont kno butbotg companies did background checks on me and nothing came up at all so now i got alot of my charged dismissed accept the one call the son of hers did from my phone i didnt have a lawyer to fight for me at all on on pti probation up to 36 months im allowed to leave the state and a have to do random drug test and pay restitution fines im fuc my pti officer said that he could work work with me as far as showing up every month that if i get a job otr thrat i could do phone report just he wuld call.me or i call him to report so i just need help getting my life back together need to truck again need another go somewhere please help email Rayharriz@yahoo.com

Well I got black balled from Werner enterprises they let me go back in 2015 for having 3 preventable accidents well 2 of them werent really my fault so now it's on my DAC report and my MVR so now am kinda screwed so now am getting ready to lose everything I got I have almost 3 years driving experience plus they let me go cause I didn't have enough driving experience well now I do oh well that's life I guess we'll anyway I need help finding work and it's kinda hard to find it when my DAC report is totally screwed up I was driving for Davis Sanitation until they wanted me to haul containers on a roll back truck and that wasn't happening so they let me go cause I told them hell no plus most of there trucks aren't DOT legal it's trash business oh well am just trying to find work I can drive whatever

Hi I went to CRST trucking school and I pulled for them for months but I wasn't getting paid for my loads...when I complained they put up the "red tape" boarder. Now I am under contract with them with no job, no pay and they won't produce a copy of the contract. All this stemmed from a felony on my background when I was younger. I am ready and I need a 2nd chance to prove I am reliable and a great driver. Although, I've driven thousands of miles on the west and east coast for them they won't give me the proof I need of miles driven for them or the training I received from them to get another job! I had an owi charge 12 months ago that was dismissed. My dac is clean. I drove otr for 2 years then local for 2 companies. Ive pulled refer, van, hopper, flat bed, wedge, and intermodal. The suspension was for test refusal on a charge that was later dismissed in my private vehicle. Do companies still view this the same?

Hey, Larry here look I got a situation. I recently got my CDL-A w/Hazmat Doubles Triples and Tanker certificate for 240hrs of behind the wheel experience in a credited School. The issue is before I got my CDL-A I got a reckless driving for over 15 rushing my daughter to the hospital, i was pulled over ticketed and we were sent on our way. I searching for a company that is need of a dedicated, honest, and legit driver. Oh I do have felonies though they are over 10 years old.

Ok i finish my driving school last year in february i apply with Mawerick for glass division i went down to little rock ar and i gratuated but after i was scared to drive by my self i just get out from school and i ask for team driver someone who has some experience like that i can learn but Maverick dont have teams and they told me to try with schneider i called right away and i was hired and drove OTR team till 2017 i change company with JBHunt to be a yard spotter jockey after i was working as yard spotter after one month and half i did everything they teach me to do drive under tag till you feel is hooked rise hook the lines and pull but something went wrong i pulled out i drow 50-60ft and boom the trailer droped i was fired right away and now i have realy dificulty to someone hire me because off the accident in the yard my cdl is clean newer had a ticket or anything
Just for my DAC report everybody turning me down someone know some company who going to give me a secound chance ?? I realy looking for team OTR i miss driving i live in Wisconsin

I recently got my CDL, back in December of 2016 and I've been looking for a company that will give me a chance. However, on my first try, I went for Melton trucking and they shafted me pretty good when my hair follicle test came back positive for THC; yes I know, it was pretty stupid but I passed my urinalysis and I thought they'd let me through, but they didn't. They stuck their hand up despite the fact I've been clean for at least 7 months and now I'm blacklisted and every company I try for, regardless of whether they do follicle or just urinalysis, tells me to go home without even considering the drug test.

The problem is I got nowhere to go. My parents have forsaken me and pretty much told me to go fuck myself. So now I'm homeless, pennyless and living in shelters. I can't deny it. I cried when they told me I wouldn't get a job at all, and my life has been spiraling down since then. The deal is I'm a really good driver, got no criminal record, only one ticket below 10 mph (personal vehicle two years ago, mind you) and no felonies or medical problems and I passed my driving test, at school, with flying colors and I always do excellent in the few days of orientation they give me, but still they won't give me a chance.

I feel awful, my parents hate me and I got nowhere to go and I just want to give up. Nevertheless, I just now saw this page and I hope someone could help me and direct me in the right direction. My number is 616 206 5257

If anyone has something to help me out and give me a chance to prove myself, I promise I won't let them down. This can't be the end of the line. I spent too much time and worked way too hard to be screwed over a piece of hair.

12-11-2016. I had my first accident where my truck slid on ice and landed up in a median. They're calling it a jackknife in which hey they can label it as that. What I am looking for is a job that is willing to give me a second chance. Yes I gained some points from the accident, but overall I was a decent driver. My driver manager even told me for the most part I was doing great with a couple hick ups here and there. I learned from my mistake, not to hit the brake while sliding and to take my time. It was a rookie mistake that is ruining my driving career. I made my appointments on time and never gave my employeers any trouble. Looking for a company to work with me with stick shift and to take a chance on me, a guy who is willing to learn.

Im looking to find a company that will hire me to drive teams with wife. We require very little to no home time. I have one accident where we rolled over to left side on truck to avoid hitting 6 mule deer. I was afraid if I hit that many they would of ended up in the truck hitting wife in sleeper. No fault, or sitations were given. Another driver hit us after we rolled to the side it was stated he hit a parked vehicle because he said he didnt see it. I have a speeding ticket issued 2 months before this as well that has already been taken care of. My company cancelled my lease contract due to the accident. My wife and I ran our butts off and we will do that for another company as well. We ran all 48 states and approx 7000 miles a week between the two of us. My wife is still driving for that company but waiting for me to hopefully find another great company to give me an opportunity. I have approx 5 months of resent verifiable exp is all. I realize I have a lot to learn and want to make a career of this. My wife has 4 months of exp with nothing on her driving record. Our exp is in Van hauling but open to other possibilities.

This year has really been a challenge for me in finding the right career. After all the madness of moving to a different state I realized getting my CDL-A would be the right move. I started studying just last month preparing myself for my permit test and studying on a lot of relavent material. I've studied the General Knowledge, Air Brake and Combination portion of the permit test and I have gathered a lot of information. I instantly started putting in applications for several truck companies and one said yes but the other said that something from my driving history was preventing them from hiring me. I remembered having a bad car accident in 2006 and in 2010 I was summitted a summons by the Sheriff Dept. in Alabama. When I asked her what was preventing me from being hired on she mentioned this same accident. This accident took place almost 11 years ago and I have been treated like a convict due to 1 accident on my driving license. Honestly, this has led to a few tickets of suspended driver license. This whole situation with my license is making me feel like a convict or even this worst person ever and it is discouraging. Back to the accident I was hospitalized and wasn't able to write a statement on my behalf and the other two car owners were able to write their statements. It's a mess honestly but I do have an lawyer who is protecting my license as long as I'm paying him. I've had to go through so much and I have to drive with an SR-22. I have to live the next 5 years of my life paying my lawyer and having him protect my license from the state. One company said she would give me a call back because she's never had to deal with this type of situation. The other company tells me that if my SR-22 is valid that I'm able to drive. Before I continue to give my hopes up can someone please give me the best advice they know. I am a single 30 year old with no children and going on the road would be the best thing for me. I'm highly responsible and I'm praying that God makes a clear path for me.

I am a former Swift Company Driver...
I had 8 yrs previously driving hazmat tankers for
Mobile...retired for 9 yrs and took over my deceased brothers supply and delivery service for computer & cell phone parts- In the Tampa Bay areas.
I never had a ticket or DOT violation, nor I did not have an accident as a hazmat driver for mobile or for my brothers company.
I had 2 parking lot incidents that were not my fault at Swift 2 months ago.
One I am fighting to get it taken off using OOIDA.com Legal dept.
I was backing into a doc at a shipper with my tandom's slid 6 ft away from the rear of my trailer...I bumped the doc a little harder then normal, but no damages on my trailer...
the shipping manager came out and said I ran over a rain gutter down spout on the ground attached next to the dock...I question him how that was possible since my tandom's were slid 6 ft away from the rear of my trailer..he insisted i did it and wrote it on the BOL...so that forced me to report it to Swift Safety...
Swift ask me if i got out and looked before backing and did i write it in to the notes on the QUALCOMM G.O.A.L I said no...Swift wrote it up as preventable accident...
the 2nd one was at a TA truck stop in Dallas...
I had been to 3 truck stops and rest stops and there was no parking...I was desperate to find a place to park and shut down...with only 7 mins left before I was in HOS violation, I found a place to park in a no parking spot at a TA next to other drivers parked there too...I shut down logged off duty and jumped into the sleeper.
2 hrs later another truck bumped my trailers skirting...I got out to see if there was any damage...as I did another Swift Trainer was looking at it too,there was no damages to either of our trucks or trailers...but the Swift Trainer said i had to report it to Swift Safety..Swift terminated me, saying if I did not park in a no parking spot the incident would not of happened.
Worse my truck was taken from me in Kansas City...all my things were put on the ground, my dog too...and no way home to Tampa since the dog could not travel on a bus with me... I rented a car and drove home.

I have been denied 10 company's that I have applied to I tried Carolina Cargo..where they take murders, rapist and thieves...but they said they could not take me because their insurance carrier will not accept my driving issues.
I need a 2nd chance...i am told it will be 3 yrs before I can re-apply for a driving job,,,that is only if i work for another trucking company for recent truck driving employment verification...

I started driving a manual at the age of 16. My younger years i had a bad set back for being caught dirt bike riding ina state park, minor misdemeanor and $150 fine. Later as i aged, ive never been the ones to do drugs and never really liked pot with the way it made me feel. I was pulled over by police 3 1/2 years ago for running a yellow light and i allowed him to search my car as my eyes were red from a hard days of work and dropping a co worker off from work. Well, as i sat in his cop car, he came back to his car to tell me he found a dime sized nugget on my floor under the passenger seat and wrote me out a ticket and also took a cigar he said was paraphenelia= black and mild. I went to court, had a lawyer. I passed a drug test to have my paraphelnia charge dropped if i plead guilty to the marajuana. Ive never even liked the stuff. Its the only two minor misdemeanors on my record. Driving record is excellent. Seat belt violation from last year, but i don't think that puts points on my record. Is there anybody out there who will give me a chance? Charges are old, driving record is pretty good, and i had alittle experience driving a mulch truck for a lawn care company. Need to take care of family, truck is 22 years old now. Bills piling up. Credit is decent. Is there anybody out there in Columbus, Ohio locally with go home driving classes?

I worked at my first company and left after only 4 months, because I was offered a job that almost doubled my pay, and it was what I wanted, "Flatbed/Specialized" anyhow after 9 months there, I found out about a lot of bad things, I went back to another company, now that company has put crap on my pre-hire that is not true, I've gotten my hire right and MVR fixed, but everytime they are contacted they put that crap on me again, I'm not perfect, but I'm a good safe driver, MY wife has cancer, I have a son, and spent 32 yrs in prison doing life without parole, started with a Death Penalty, but didn't do it, and was ordered released in 2009, all I know is driving, can anyone help, my wifes treatment is $$$, help please 520-443-0838

Egotistical drivers on here with nothing good to say about anyone or anything get a life. Started out at Carolina Cargo myself never seen a check under $700 as a rookie. When all the big shot companies close the door in your face Carolina Cargo will put you to work and give you consistent miles.the only difference between you and the driver with the bad record is he/she got caught and you didn't. This is a situation that Im learning to accept the inevitable but I thought I'd try this site to see if I get a response. Basically my situation is that a year ago I was running with the wrong crowd and year ago i failed a random drug test. I went through the rehab that I needed to get clean and I haven't had any trouble since then. Hi

I'm a truck driver with about 4 yrs exp. Last year I had an accident due to my drivers side mirror swinging in and blocking my view, while driving into a 90 degree turn. To compensate for loss of vision and to avoid oncoming cars I drove high in the curve. There was a down slope on the backside of the curve so I turned over. Even though I did what I was taught to avid injuring others it's been a big problem for me too get a good passing job. Does anyone know of a company with a lease purchase program that will be willing to hire me?

I'm looking for a job. I have 3.5 years of OTR experience with Tanker endorsement, reefer exp. I'm single with no kids so I can stay on the road for long periods of time.

The bad part I have 3 moving violations in the last three years. They were all in my personal car ( I say that because I've slipped up in my car but never on the job).

I. Was working for Usa truck they let me go due to a sleep apnea test that they were unwilling to pay for as soon as I got my insurance after 90 days they sent me home and said they will have to terminate my employment because I was not there six months with them. Bull shit company trust me.

If you stay in NC. There is a company name MABE trucking. I have a friend there that has a felony or two. Getting in incidents alot. They just deduct it from his pay. He has prior accidents,tickets but they put him on and keep him there. They pay .36 mile,but you get over 3,000 miles a week. I hope this helps. Best of luck. I am a 3 time looser with about 7 felonies, and equal amount of misdemeanors. Had dui, a very awful record. Newest felony was less than 5 years. I got hired with no problem at Carolina Cargo. Just know this, you WILL PAY for the fact that no one else will hire you. Pay your dues so to speak. It really isn't that bad. But it is not like the big companies. If you just go into it knowing you are there to GET EXPERIENCE, then any thing you get is better than nothing. Don't compare yourself to experienced clean record people, prove yourself. You will get enough money to survive, and they do progressively pay more. Starts about 600 a week.

Will Hire almost ANYBODY, I MEAN ANYBODY.

I was off one weekend feel kinda down having real bad headache, decided to light one up smoked half then went back to work on Monday; was hit with a random came up positive. Back in sept 2012 I did my dot drug test and came up positive for thc. Since then I've been through my sap and come up clean and ready to go. But,having a hard time getting back to work. I know some of the hard liners out there are going to say serves you right, just hear me out. First experience: I have done two years otr with flatbed doing everything, including oversize loads. 3 years local doing many different loads flatbed and box. Second tickets etc: none period, no accidents, nothing. Third Job performance: my last local job I was never late on a load and never missed one day of work in three years. My previous two years otr?, no tickets, no accidents and was only late on one load. Do I deserve this? Maybe. The road was raised and I came to T in the road. I tried to turn left and when my trailer caught the shoulder and I turned over. After a year and a half I got a chance to drive again,(log truck)I found my self on an unfamiliar road, which curved to the left and dipped to the right. I turned over again. Log trucks and liquid tankers are as dangerous. Stay clear of them. I would love to drive again, Please call me @ 205 471-2345 if anybody could use my services I don't have any home time requirements so I can stay on the road as long as you need me to.

A lot of drivers need that lead, hope they are still open minded about giving people chances.
