failed a drug test for marijuana

failed the test but went thru all the rehab steps at my own expense. Now I am being fined by the DOT. If I pay this fine, is that the end of it?

Sounds like to me you screwed yourself. Got in a accident? Pulled over high and tested? Dude if DOT tested you and you failed your done. Quite frankly that was probably the dumbest thing you could have done. Your license is tainted now and getting a job is going to be close to impossible. You CANT FAIL PISS TESTS!!!! I dont know when people are gonna get this through. This isnt a joke and if you pissed hot for DOT then guess what...NO ONE ON THIS SITE WANTS YOU OUT THERE ANYWAY!!! Your the reason truckers get a bad rep. Bet you thought you were invincible. Excuse me if I have drawn the wrong conclusion from this question but I think I have it pretty much nailed. But the only way DOT knows about you failing a test is if they give it to you and if you were high out on the road then I dont know what to tell you. Just thank God you didnt kill someone cause you'd be locked up.

There are no provisions under 49 CFR enabling the Department of Transportation (DOT) to fine someone testing positive for a banned substance. You are erroneously ascribing civil and/or criminal sanctions leavied against you to the DOT.
