Speeding Ticket Off RecordNEW by: Someone with a Suggestion
My husband got a speeding ticket this last summer. He contacted the prosecuting attorney at the court house that the ticket was to be returned to and asked him advise. The prosecuting attorney actually gave him another attorney's name to contact. Once he contacted that particular attorney, he had to mail $400 to the attorney to go to court on his behalf, and plead it down to 4 over the speed limit instead of the over 10 he had. Anything that is 4 or less over, does not appear on one's driving record. Yes, it ended up being temporarily more expensive then just paying the speeding ticket but when you think about the benefit of keeping it off your driving record, for job and insurance reasons, its totally worth it.
