Going from team driving to running solo, any advice?

by Proud to be a truckers girl.

My boyfriend just recently went from running a dedicated team run to going solo on all 48. Any advice as far as best places to eat or possibly finding an otr gym to join?

Especially considering now with regulations his truck will not be constantly moving. Any information would be great. He hasn't been solo for 8 years now and as everyone knows, the trucking industry changes every day.

Advice for Solo Drivers
by: Hervy

No advice in particular that he shouldn't know from running teams. Just make sure to allow adequate time to pick up or delivery. Maybe have an alarm since he won't have another person in the truck to wake him, if he doesn't already have one.

As far as food and a gym....

Best to get a refrigerator and take food with him for the most economical and healthy choices.
Other than that, the Petro has the best Salads, Flying J's are mostly going to Denny's Restaurants.

I don't feel he will get his money's worth from a Gym membership. Luckily, you don't need one. There is plenty of exercise he can do with the body and he can take dumbbells with him, that's what I do.
