Heartland doesn't have a heart for a driver by: Anonymous
I worked for Heartland Express for six years until I got ill and passed out behind the wheel because dispatch jerked me around for three days before getting me a load to get home with to go to my doctor.
Come to find out I had the flu and my prostate was swollen all at the same time. After coming off workman's comp they fired me for having to many accidents ( had just received a safety certificate) and I had to fight for my last week of workman's comp.and my unemployment.
They also have trucks that don't idle between 40-70 degrees with no apu's for driver comfort.

Never was able to work for Heartland yet i have passed plenty of their drivers in truckstops or on the roadside so maybe i was fortunate not to drive for them. (they ALWAYS seem to be hiring, that is usually a bad sign)
