Man found dead in truck that wasn't moved for months!!!!!

Who is keeping watch over our drivers??? As a trucker's wife this makes me sick, heartbroken, and absolutely FURIOUS that this could have happened.....

My thoughts and prayers to this man's family and friends. I could not imagine ever wanting to live this nightmare.

At the same time though, it makes me furious to know that there are still companies out there that care this little about their drivers!!!!

Work place negligence NEW

The same thing happened to my husband. He was found 3 days after he passed. He would haven't been found of we the family didn't call them looking. He called and told them he wasn't feeelinf well in Virginia he has a history of heart disease they told him to Kay down awhile they would check in with him later that day. They never did. We called them. The highway patrol found him 91st a rest area deceased. They said they didn't know where he was which is bullshit had gps all thru out truck. In have lost everything my home my car my soulmate of 30 years. He was a 50 year old man who already had a widow maker heart attack and hospitalised 2 times for blood clots.I miss him so much we Serena team he wasn't suppossed to leave me here alone. We have a sons 8 grandchildren one of which he never even for to see. How can these company's get away with this with nonkind of punishment . I canntnfind a lawyer who will listen the ones I do find are out of state. He was on so many blood thinners and dangerous meds. Warfarin Coumadin plavix eliquis plus a ton of others there's so .ugh it's to our story its ridiculous. I will never be the same it's been since January the grief is worse. I miss him dearly. I am alone and scared I never had to provide he was a wonderful provider I was a stay at home wife and mom. Please pray for our family that justice will come soon for all involved. Ppl like this always seem to get away with terrible illegal things. God bless you all be safe out there.......

To many Truckers dying / with no investigation NEW

My husband was found deceased at the Carlin Pilot. His company did not look for him for two days. They do not run dispatch on weekends. He sat there in an idling truck with the heater on. They said you could smell his putrefied body when you approached the truck. How many people just walked past ignoring the smell? I asked the funeral homes this afternoon, how often the pick up bodies from the truck stop . She is emailing me the body count. All of these drivers are not dying of natural causes . Trucks need to be impounded and inspected by DOT to assure families there were not exhaust issues or cabs with leaks allowing exhaust from the outside. Companies are leaving families to figure out the logistics and cost of getting someone home , its not right.

as a huge truck driving enthusiast I am deeply saddened by this news. I'm a truck driving fan that's desperate for a change.
I am abandoned at I80 ex120 truck stop and needing a ride home. But something like this makes it hard for a man like myself to find a lonely drvr in need of an experienced, navigating, driver jocky like myself in these parts unknown to find my ride back home. Yeah you are right TruckerYitz, if nothing else, workers at truckstop should take notice of a truck sitting there for days in the middle of the day when the truckstop is mostly empty. Seems it would raise suspicion enough to investigate.

Thanks to the guy who shared that story with us. I am sure the family is happy that their loved one was accounted for but sad of how it turned out.

We should be reminded not to take life for granted or our struggles so serious.

ins company pays the cargo loss the company gets truck replaced drivers are a dime a dozen, and the show must go on. if the driver is off the dispatch board, then he is out of sight out of mind.

not that he could have been saved after a period of time, but....its such a shame that in parking lots, a daily count of equipment and motionless trucks arent documented.
