How do I get experience if no one will hire me without experience

I went through on the job training and recieved my class a cdl first try no problems but have no experince with t/t just flatbed hook and pintle desperately looking to further my driving career as a truck driver but eveywhere I apply says they want school certifacation or six months t/t exp.what should I do and how do I get that exp without school or a chance

Mom & Pop or Owner Operator... NEW

I tell everyone I know that's getting their cdl's for the first time... you're going to be in a catch-22 situation starting out. Nobody will hire you without experience. But then how are you supposed to get the experience if no one will hire you?

You just have to keep looking twice as hard. Maybe even try out a mom & pop type of operation working for an owner operator. Or go with one of them over the road companies. Take your pick... Schneider, JB Hunt, Werner, etc. You get the point. I went through the same situation and ended working for a mom & pop company. But I've had my cdl's and own authority for over 10 years now.

Don't worry about the money in the beginning. That will come in time. What you need and what's more important right now is the experience. So when you do get your first job stick it out and stay with them until you get at least a year to 18 months worth of experience under your belt. Then you'll pretty much be able to right your own ticket. Hope this helps. Good luck!
