How does someone who recently got his Class 1 (Canada) get a job?

I recently passed all requirements for a trucker's driver's license. I applied to numerous trucking companies and have been told that I need experience before they will try me out. The problem which you know very well, is that I can't get that experience unless I get hired. Catch 22. Any advise?
