A friend of mine was a Marine pilot and his rule was: 12 hours from bottle to throttle. You're driving a multi-ton vehicle that can do some serious damage (a rig driver - drunk - wiped out 14 cars hereabouts over the weekend)- I'd wait to be cold sober, brother (or sister?)!!
