How many rest stops and gas stations are between Pahrump and Reno, NV?

I'm a mom, and I'm worried. My son will probably go to UNR this fall, and he will be driving. I'd like to know where he can get gas, stop for a bite to eat, or take a snooze if he gets tired of driving. I know you truckers know all the details, so I'm counting on you to help me out here! Thanks!

Not to worry, there are plenty of "towns" between Pahrump and Reno. Goldfield, Tonapah, Hawthorne Luning all on hwy 95. If he jumped over to Olancha, Ca. via Death Vly, he could run Hwy 395 in Ca. whare there are plenty of towns also. Albeit small towns with parking available to snooze as well as rest areas. Figure about 7-8 hours driving leasurly. Jimmy
