how many riders can you have with you?

Was wanting to bring my wife and 17 year old out for awhile and i was told dot only allows you to have 1 rider at a time. Is this true?

I've taken 3 kids with me on the truck plenty of times,if your so worried about it and you get stopped tell em to get in sleeper and shut the certain,they'll never know.to hell with dot

when in bunk there's no seat belt

I was thinking if i go owner op it would go on co. Policy and i understand person to seat belt ratios but if its ok for a person to be in the bottom bunk well the truck is moving (ie no seat belt on in bunk) then why should the seat belt rule come in to play.

That's the thought i was going with. Thank you all for the info this far

Well if the rule is u can only have as many riders as u have seat belts then why is it ok to run team and the other driver can be in the bunk sleeping without a seat belt on.
My guess would b there isn't a rule on how many can b in the bunk but if u r riding in the seat u need to b in a seat belt.

This is only a guess but I would think that you could only legally carry the amount of passengers that you have seat belts for.
