How to Spot Fake Loads on Loadboard

Fake loads on the DAT Load board are becoming more and more common. Here are 6 ways you can screen for whether the loads you see are fake.

Meaning if you see this, don't assume it's legit. Check out the company more. Do some research. Pay very close attention to the emails and misspellings'.

See if the phone numbers match. And why are they saying contact them in the comments while disguising the contact information there?

Interesting.

Here are the 5 things to look at.

1. Spamming the load board with the same or similar loads one right after the other. More than 3 is spamming.

2. The comments section has numbers separated by commas instead of normally written phone numbers

3. They are using email that is similar to the real company's name but not exactly. For example, for NationWide Express, it might say Nationswideexpress@gmail. com Instead of Nationwideexpress@gmail.com

Notice I'm not assuming all gmail is foul play. We use gmail. But they spelled nations instead of nation. That's because nation (with no s) was already taken by the real company!

4. They respond with some retarted message. Usually requestion some financial information.

5. They don't answer direct questions you ask about the postings. But go one as if you didn't ask

6. They have same pay rate for loads of varying miles from different locations to different locations.

If you suspect the load is fake, do a google search on the company, google the phone number and email address too.

If they've been using it a while, it might show up.

Also you can get in touch with the company with the number listed in DAT or on Safer Web and ask if they have an agent/broker with that inforation on the Dat Load Board.
