(Howell N.J )
I'm retiring at the end of 2015. I've been a bus operator for the N.Y.C.T.A. for the past 34yrs. I've been a truck enthusiast since I was born. My father talked me out of being a trucker when I was 21yrs old .
I took all the city tests and decided I would like the bus driving job. I have no regrets. I always still craved driving trucks, so in 1990 I decided I I was going to go out and get that truck I always dreamed about a kid, a 60,s or 70,s Peterbilt 352 cabover after a year long search I found one and restored it.
I found part time work and worked it till 2007. Hauling for shop rite through a broker. I made a lot of friends who worked directly with food haulers and was asked if I wanted to drive for one of the owner operators. So I put Antique plates on my old truck and to truck shows while I drove a brand new 379 pete on weekends for a couple different guys.
I'm 55yrs old and in good shape. Type 2 diabetes which is under control. I'm single, I don't drink or drug6. Don't smoke, try to eat right and exercise every day. I love Trucking and take pride in it.
I done pier work ,moving, flatbed, refer ,dry van auto and truck heavy equipment moving and towing. I own 6 restored Trucks from the 70,s that I take to truck shows. Looking to go over the road or local 2 weeks more or less a month.
Have a fiance in Florida so east coast runs back and forth would be ideal. Could come out of jersey or Florida since I'll be living both places . Little over the road experience. Mostly northeast. Willing to go coast to coast.
I'm responsible own my own home good credit, no baggage.
