will they employ you
by: wesley

Yes you can obtain a cdl and you can be hired this has been done by individuals a lot older then you.when it come to trucking companys especially major trucking companies.

There is no cutoff age only you must be at least 21yrs old to be hired by any of them you have no problem meeting that requirement as long as you are in good health and can pass their physical remember even though you passed a dot physical you still have to pass a company physical but before all that u still need to go to truck school that's usually about 3 to 4 wks get past all of that and you'll be on your way good luck.

44 years trucking and retired

at the age of 55 your not to old i repeat not to old. find a good school where you can actually learn something. be careful of the trucking company you choose do not be afraid to ask them questions about there company.

be careful of them blowing smoke at you. try and find a trainer with some trucking experience and can teach you something of value. lots of luck if you have any questions please feel free to contact me jbourque@netins.net
