First you have to pass a DOT physical by: Hervy
If you can pass the physical and the examiner OKs you to drive you have to consider what the problem was and the potential effects of trucking on your health.
Many drivers experience back problems. You've already had surgery.
Do you lose you disability status if you drive full time?
You will have to pay for insurance, deductibles, etc if so.
I can't answer should you or not. You just have to consider all of the advantages and disadvantages.
Weigh disability situation against trucking situation.
I don't know the current situation you have. You can make $40,000 plus per year as a trucker.
That doesn't make it the only determining factor though.
