I messed up and need a better income to support my family.

10 years ago i was dumb and committed a burglary and did my time. Then i was down in the dumps and got a DUI about 4 years ago. I had a job driving over the road in a expedite truck but the DUI crushed that job. I have a family of 3 kids and a wife who cant work cause her back is bad, I'm working now but at 300 bucks a week and a family of 5 its hard. I know my insurance will be high but i do have exp. and a class a i have done little jobs hauling grain around my town but that's rare.

I figured I would lease my own truck if someone would just let me use their trailer and find me loads. Ive tried everything and the next time i get offered a truck driving job i'm not working for that place for a few years, they are helping me out im staying with them till i retire.

Craig, it sounds like your are performing a miracle out there with $300 per week. Hope things will brighten up for you real soon. Keep your head up and keep looking.

Make sure you check nontraditional methods of meeting potential employers. Visit diesel mechanic shops and see if the they know an owner op who needs a driver.

Also read this page to possibly get new ideas on how to supplement your income.

Maybe you and your wife can start making money with the skills or knowledge you have but never looked at in a way to turn it into a revenue producing venture. Check out this page.
