I quit smoking weed 4 months ago and in looking to start at CR England in Fontana but my concern is that the woman told me they go back 12 months how? What type of drug test do they do? Thanks.

I was included in a study for this specific test in which I was payed for. At that time they were testing hair follicles for traces of drugs (1996).

If you look up where the hair follicle lies within the scalp, you will see it has sacs next to it. So to make a long story short they must pull the entire root out included with all biological structures of the hair follicle in order to do the test.

Now when they where doing this study on us that were in rehab, it was indicated at that point they were able to determine not only drugs in the body but through hair follicle they were also able to reach back to when drugs were first ingested over the persons lifespan.... in other words they could tell when you first used them.

Don't know whatever happened in that study or how true it may have been, but I think its enough to know that it is amazing what science can come up with, so its best to just give up drugs while trying to drive on the road where other peoples lives are at stake, trying to beat the system is highly unlikely these days in regard to drugs so try and move on with your life and without drugs and alcohol!!!

Living Clean and Sober for 6 years now....after 40 years of torturing myself...if I can do it, anyone can.....

check back 12 months for hair test

i recently was at a web sight for a lab that tests hair for companies. they stated that the norm is 90 days in order to go further back they would have to do two different tests one at 1.5inch and one after the 1.5inch so they would need like 3.0inch or more of hair and it's expensive. That was hair from your head they stated nothing about using other body hair. I'm in the same boat as you I'm straightening out my life done with it(weed) to going clean for good.

It's scary place to be especially when you are bettering yourself after a life of partying. Not fair to us that are changing our old habits to drive a truck and better ourselves.

Why do we have so much negativity here? Why not try lending a helping hand and you could really save that negative energy and replace it with positive things to do and say. Your health will benefit from this.

People make mistakes and the first person to say they are perfect is a liar and that is far more worse!

What time period does a standard hair follicle test cover?

A standard hair follicle screen covers a period of approximately 90 days, but is susceptible to time variation depending on the growth rate of your hair. So not 12 months, only goes back 90 days they take from the top.

Can body hair be drug tested like hair from the head?

Body hair can be drug tested just as hair from the head. The growth rates for body are considerably slower than the hair from your head. Most body hair is replaced in about one year. It is challenging to precisely represent the time period of a standard screen with body hair so substances may be detected in body hair for up to 1 year after the substance left the blood stream.

It seems body hair goes back 12 months.

What type of drugs can be detected in a standard hair test?
