I am a current CDL A since 1998 but started driving trucks in 1995.I did mostly oversize, heavy haul and explosives, drove special permit loads in the winters and have hauled nearly everything you can think of at least once. I have lots of experience though I have been retired since 2002 and though I did still do some local 10 wheel and dump trucking until 2004. I miss the trucks and driving them, sometimes wish I could make a trip or two and earn some extra play money on the down low. I have a clean MVR and all my papers are up to date. Just don't have a desire or physical ability to be a dedicated slave full time. I would like an occasional run though. I never did like all the big company bs. I prefer owner ops and being more person to person. I would like if that could happen. I'm a disabled vet, but don't let that scare you! I can't do much lifting, but I can drive semi and miss backing up the 57" trailers.
