Internet access for otr truckers
by: Hervy

Hello Germ,

I use a Sprint Card with their data plan for internet access. The pilot offers slingshot which uses sprint towers but without the contract and I think it is in the same price range.

I have talked to several people who claims the Verizon internet access is better.

There are also other services offered by 3rd parties you will see in the truck stops.

Each truckstop chain also sells internet access. I would choose that as a last resort.

Idle Aire provides access but of course you have to be at a truckstop with Idle.

As far as GPS,make sure you get a GPS made specifically for commercial vehicles. Still check any routing that may seem questionable to make sure big trucks are allowed on that road.
