Most of the Crete drivers I've talked to says yes Crete Carriers is a good company to drive for. Most common comment though, is that it is as good as the others. (Which is still better than putting the company down, lol)

A few were there for over 5 years. Most were there as their first company though.

Crete Carriers is one of the nation's providers of temperature-sensitive freight. Young or inexperienced drivers should get their experience somewhere.

And Crete is as good a carrier as any to do that. But until FMCSA gets its act together relative to the Hours of Service (HOS) boondoggle, I would not look to make any carrier my home.

That being said, what any truck driver should do is look at a company's CSA. Then check drivers forums or "Indeed" for comments from current and former drivers.

Lastly, check out what they are paying per mile. It should be close to if not over .50/mile. Union OTR is currently set at .72/mile in the 2018-2024 Master Freight Agreement, which covers Teamsters working for Penske, USPS, UPS, YRC and a few others. So, don't play yourself cheap. Make 'em show you the money.
