I enjoyed hauling tanks. Only did it for a few months because I was hauling paint for the highways. When it go cold had to stop until spring time again.
That was as owner operator and the tanker was power only.
I picked up the empty tanker and got it loaded. Then delivered and took the empty tank to the truck wash to end my run. Easy pezy and good money.
But it's just like other trucking jobs. It all depends on what trucking company you go to and what you haul and their process.
My homeboy hauls tanker too as company driver for Quality Carriers and he loves it. And they treat him pretty good.
He makes over $1200 per week consistently and doesn't run hard. Plus great benefits.
I've talked to a Kenan driver who was retiring from their. He loved it. Hauled gas.
