Is it better to sign on with companies or use broker

I have recently bought my truck and insurance authority and apportion. I have worked for a trucking co 5 years due to hand surgery, they gave my job to someone else. Which was something i did not expect.

IS it better to sign on with co or use broker?

And the answer is......Well, with your authority etc., you have more choices. I assume you have both truck and trailer. You can use brokers (with caution) or use trucking companies brokerage. Or just find your direct shippers freight. You will have to "experiment" and find what works best for you. There are outfits out there that will do the paperwork etc. and charge you 10%. They also have loads available or you can find your own. Good luck. Jimmy
