as a CDL holder you have to claim all hours worked as being on duty.

NO MATTER what you worked.

anytime spent working has to be claimed as on duty.

so yes you can have a 2nd job legally! but YOU must claim those hours worked as on duty.

if you do not show those hours worked then you are now illegal.
