Is my company liable if they allow me to drive their trucks on a revoked license?

My company promised to pay a chain restriction ticket that I received while operating their tractor. They promised to pay the ticket as long as I turned it into them.

Now (9months later) when looking for a new job I pulled my MVR and I was informed my license as been invalid for 5 months since the ticket has not been paid. So technically and unknowingly, I have been driving their company vehicles as well as my personal vehicle on an invalid license.

Are they at all liable for this? I feel like that isn't right and there may be legal repercussions. Thanks
