is there a difference in cost of cdl depending on state?

can i save by getting my Cdl in any state and still use it in IL? what are the cheapest states to get lic. if I am doing on my own

CDL from states other than the one you live in NEW

John, the cost of obtaining a CDL does vary from state to state.

However, you can only legally have a driver's license from the state in which you reside.

It's only like $50 plus $5 per endorsement though.
