co driver pay by: Anonymous
No way .
First off if a company says that they pay x amount per mile they are lying. When u get ur ck and ask them about it they will tell u that they go by household movers guide miles or some other means than your actual miles driven which mean they will skim off ur ck between .06%~.12%~.
Then u will have dispatch / planning problems most dispatchers can not plan loads they will make u layover for days in a parking lot waiting on them or make u crash by putting u on a load with out proper sleep. Most of the time u will wait all day for a load then at about 5:oo u get a 600 mile load that del at 8:00am next morning
Just rember with trucking it's all a trick or a lie If u lived in a company truck with no life u would prob make 29000. gross
Good luck and be careful because everything is the drivers fault. Carriers , Dispatchers are not held responsible.
Most drivers are more concerned with speeding to get some where for dispatch instead of looking at their PAY

Big bucks possible? by: Jimmy
Yes, you can make $65,000 a year, IF, you get decent per mile pay or run team. $.40 cents a mile times 13,000 miles per month is $5200 a month times 12 months is $62,400 yearly. But everything has to fall into place. Consistent miles, no goofing off, minimal home time, good money management and so on.
A team running 6000 miles a week at 48 cents a mile makes $2880 and splits that. Your cut is $1440 weekly times 52 weeks is $74,880 yearly. These figures can fluctuate with how much you work.
Not all companies pay the same. Some companies pay a fuel bonus and for multiple stops. Jimmy
