Hi ladies! I am a 46 yr old "newbie" to the world of trucking. My husband and I have been married 3 years (this April), and he has been otr trucking for the past 8 months.
When we met I was a self-employed psychotherapist, and single mom. He had a successful career in real-estate. Fast forward through the all to common saga of the downward spiraling economy, and here we are.
Fortunately, he hasn't been gone for more than 3 weeks at a time, and when he is home we really appreciate our time together. I still get that tingly, butterfly feeling when I see him after he's been gone.
I've also been lucky enough to go otr with him, which really gave me perspective of what his daily life is like. I really appreciate how hard he works and the sacrifices he makes, and I make it a point to let him know that! And I know he appreciates having a strong, supportive wife to keep the home fire burning!
