Loadstar1700, el paso

I have a 78 loadstar 1700 with a 404. I have the manual transmission with 2 speed rear end. It won't go into reverse. If I shut off motor and put in reverse and restart it won't move and pop out of gear that way also.

any suggestions? Is this transmission a T-36?

Who made this tranny and can I get any parts?
