I knew when we first met what I was getting myself into. My husband and I met at a mutual friend's house 12 years ago. He had already been a trucker for several years. I was 17 years old and he was 27 years old. Before we had even said a word to each other, it was love at first sight.
I am not gonna lie, he and I have our arguments and fights, what couple doesn't fight at some point or another. We now have 3 beautiful children together and we are loving life right now.
If I could go back in time and it all over, I would not change a thing. The longest that he has ever been out is just over one month, but now he hauls John Deere equipment and a lot of S.E.I. equipment as well. So the longest he is out now is about 2 weeks, I still get butterflies in my gut when I see him and talk to him on the phone when he is gone.
Some women are strong enough to handle the job of being a trucker's wife, but then there are those others that need constant physical contact with their man.
