Make it A Home Away From Home

Being the wife of a trucker is very challenging. Just when he leaves the kids get sad and so do I.
Then I fight the mood swings that I get when he leaves.
The next couple of days I try to find things to do. Get my focus on and motivation up. The children have school and functions that keep me busy. Just when I get used to him being gone. He comes right back in with all the excited kids and family all together we only have about a day and a half then he is off again.
They are many challenges we face. I try to do Skype on his down time let us interact as much as we can. We send each other pictures to keep us focused.
We have a great trust relationship and open communication. If you don't have that DON'T BE A TRUCKERS WIFE> it will end. Another thing I like to do is personalize his truck. With some of my pillows sheets and pictures. To keep his truck a memory of home.
We have our house to keep memories they have their trucks. So I make it as Homier as i can. Love sending him funny pic of kids and I.
Bills, errand etc. Get me out of the house .. I try to do my honey do list so when he comes in we are visiting not working. I don't mind it. Us moms and wife's are always on the go.
I love talking to my husband at night. You never FIGHT when he is home or gone. IF you DO always end it I LOVE YOU.. I always worry about him. But reinsurance is very important. As long as You fully respect each other and are in love you can find many of things to not get lonely.
Communicate is vitally important.. I wish all you the best of luck hope this helps a little bit
