Sorry to hear you are stranded. People are probably going to wonder why would someone put you out of the truck before they help you. Remember, they don't know.

They also need to know where you are in order to even consider responding if they are open to giving you a ride.

You might want to find the nearest truck stop (if that is not where you are) and see if drivers there will give you a ride.
