he has been wanting to buy a 18 wheeler for a long time ,what dose he need to do first to start to get on his truck(18 wheeler)?

Big boys toy.....

First, he needs to locate a truck/trailer. He might have to look near and far. It can be time consuming. Sometimes, they're dealers clustered in an area he can visit, plus the internet is a good tool.

He should get it checked out by a good mechanic also.

Then, he'll need authority and permits etc and insurance. Figure around $ 5000 if he does this himself. Then he needs freight to haul.
