If you can't find someone to give you experience in their rig i would recommend finding a truck driver training simulator in your area. A lot of carriers are using them now because they are a claimed 99% accurate to a real truck and saves them thousands in fuel and repairs. A lot use them to get used to shifting before heading out on the road. Try googling this for your area. Some may charge an hourly fee but it shouldnt be very much.
