Newly Licensed Class A Driver w/Felonies

Hello. I am actually reaching out on this forum for my kid's father. He is getting out in October and was able to obtain his Class A license in prison.

All of the licensing is in Ohio but he is moving to Charlotte, NC to be closer to the kids. His convictions were drug possession related and happened in 2012. So five years ago.

I know nothing about this industry but I am trying to find information out for him prior to being released. He's very smart and works hard.

He ultimately wants to open his own dump truck business but of course he needs experience and a company willing to take a chance on someone who is starting his life over.

Can anyone direct me to any companies down here who give 2nd chances to newly licensed class A cdl drivers with felonies?

He does have a high school diploma as well. Any positive feedback would be appreciated.
