Obtaining hazmat endorsement with a charge on record

Hi,
I'll be starting school as of this Monday. I'm looking to getting all my endorsements . I was charged( case was dismissed) with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
I already paid my lawyer to expunge the records which will probably take more time than the school itself.
So should I wait for the hazmat endorsement after the expunge for the endorsement or go ahead and apply for it before.
This is really worrying me as well as the fact that this false accusation is even on my record. If you know anyone in a similar situation that be great.
I tried searching the TSA website , but really couldn't find a straight answer.
