You have to confer with your company about a "pet policy"... or you may want to talk to other drivers first.
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. If the dog is well trained and isnt going to rip up the truck and pee and poop all over and destroy it, the only thing left is the shedding of hair and possibly the smell of a dog.
Humans arent meant to be alone in this world. Trucking OTR is a lonely job.
If your company say's no... and you end up lonely... and you are a good driver...
You see what I'm getting at? The company doesnt always know whats best for you.
I would talk to another driver first. TBH, most folks have smaller dogs. Its rare to see a dude with a dog the size of "Fred" from Smoky and the Bandit.
