Passenger going trucking with driver

I am considering a second career as a driver. I plan on my wife riding as a non licensed driver.

My question is I also have an adult special needs kid I would like to bring along occasionally.

If I install a third seat belt will any company approve a 2nd passenger and is it legal if I plan to haul OTR?

Taking 2 people with you trucking

You can take 2 people with you at some trucking companies. Limited options though.

If you can't find one you like that will let you take the second person, you might have to get your own truck and become an owner operator.

Keep in mind rates are low right now though.
