Ride in a truck?

I am exploring a career in truck driving. I am hoping to start my school at the end of February.

I am nervous, because I have never been in a truck before. I was wondering if a truck driver, would allow me to go along on a trip or a short ride in the truck.

Dropping $3,000 on a school is expensive and I have never even seen the inside of a truck before.
