Should I get into Trucking?

I'm not a trucker & do not have my CDL. I'm 35 and I have some experience with heavy Eq. but not Semi.

My best friend is an Operations manager of a large Co. who ships
Hazmat (soap).

He wants me to get my Autority and Lease a Truck and he will give me a lane. He said if it works out he could give me multiple lanes and I could hire other drivers.

Sounds like a great oportunity , But I really don't know what I'm doing.

Any advise ?
