Coping with life without Big Daddy...
I've been holding down the Farm for a while without the help of my man. Teaching my 11 year old Son how to drive the tractor, and prodding my 12 year old Daughter to get more involved. Talk about keeping yourself busy !
Sure we all miss him, and sometimes we talk about how it would be "better' if he would just come home. (here come the but)
But a man must have a purpose in life, and right now he has chosen to be the manly provider by driving his truck.
Was it hard in the beginning? furiously hard, Did it get any easier? After a while, yes. Eventually we found our mojo being a family without him around 24-7, but we still miss him.
Everyone had to adjust, not just me and the kids, but extended family that lived nearby too.
I like the tips posted on supporting your driver here, most of which I was doing before I read them, but it never hurts to see that others do them too :)
Keep up the support ladies, You know our men need it !
