I am currently immigrating to USA from Finland , and because i have not had my US license for over a year i have troubles getting anyone look at my job applications.

I drove tractor trailer combination in Finland for five (5) years. The weather and road conditions in Finland were very bad 6 months out of a year , so i do already know something about winter driving.

I am currently enrolled in Carolina Trucking Academy to obtain my class A CDL. If some company would be willing and kind enough to give me a chance , i wouldn´t disappoint.

I learn all the tasks fast, and i already know something about how the trucks work and behave. I think that there is always something to learn in every profession , and especially in trucking.

I do not think that i am a complete package, learned from my rookie mistakes .

Drove tractor semi-trailer combination, which was subcontracted by Lidl Finland Grocery Stores. Was responsible for delivering perishable and nonperishable foods on time with minimal loss of goods. Loaded and unloaded the food from the truck and terminal, also picked up empty containers and pallets to take back to Lidl.

January 2011-July 2011
HOPLOG

Drove straight truck combined with semi-trailer, which was subcontracted by Lidl Finland Grocery Stores. Was responsible for delivering perishable and nonperishable foods on time with minimal loss of goods. Loaded and unloaded the food from the truck and terminal, also picked up empty containers and pallets to take back to Lidl. This company went under, and I began work with Canvas.

September 2008 – January 2011
O. JYLHÄ

Drove straight truck combined with semi-trailer delivering flowers and plants all over Finland and Sweden. Was responsible for delivering the plants on time with minimal loss of goods. Loaded and unloaded the plants from the truck and terminal, also picked up empty containers and pallets to take back to O. Jylhä terminal. Was also an acting Terminal Manager part time and when the Terminal Manager was out.

March 2007 – September 2008
PH – TRUCKING

Drove straight truck combined with semi-trailer, which was subcontracted by Kesko Finland Grocery Stores. Was responsible for delivering perishable and nonperishable foods on time with minimal loss of goods. Loaded and unloaded the food from the truck and terminal, also picked up empty containers and pallets to take back to Kesko Terminal.
March 2006 – March 2007
KULJETUSLIIKE MIKA KUOSMANEN

Drove straight truck combined with semi-trailer that transported furniture to furniture stores. Was responsible for getting the furniture to the store with no damage to the goods. Loaded and unloaded the furniture from the terminal to truck, and from the truck to the store.

March 2000 – July 2003
KULJETUSLIIKE RÄIHÄ

Drove straight truck, which was subcontracted by Kesko Finland Grocery Stores. Was responsible for delivering perishable and nonperishable foods on time with minimal loss of goods. Loaded and unloaded the food from the truck and terminal, also picked up empty containers and pallets to take back to Kesko Terminal.

July 1998 – April 1999
CONSCRIPT MILITARY SERVICE

I was an engineer/mine clearer in the Finnish Army. I drove the Sisu RA-140 DS mine clearing vehicle and also drove a Russian-made Pontoon and bridge vehicle.

CAROLINA TRUCKING ACADEMY

Learned how to operate and drive tractor trailer combination and received Class A CDL with airbrake and combination vehicle endorsements.

August 2003 – December 2005
JÄMSÄNKOSKI FORESTRY SCHOOL

Learned how to drive and operate forest machinery. Also learned to drive combination vehicles. Received my Finnish CDL license to operate Class A vehicles.

SKILLS:
Can operate a forklift truck. Speak fluent Finnish and English , basic knowledge in Swedish , and can operate a vehicle in extreme weather conditions. (i.e., snow, ice, rain, etc.)
