The Day of a trucker. Is the company watching your every move?

I understand that a lot of companies are watching through a computer in the rig. Do they tell you when to drive, stop for lunch, or is it a false statement?

Adam's thinking this is high tech.

Adam, you're talking about Qual-Comm, a computer like device used for communicating between the driver and dispatch. They can monitor the trucks movement, but they don't tell you when to drive/eat/sleep or anything else.

You are given a load, told when to pick-up and deliver, then it's up to you what hours you drive/eat/sleep etc as long as you make the required delivery time. Jimmy
